About Pillar 1
Pillar 1 is focused on raising awareness and educating healthcare professionals on the clinical diagnosis and medical management of endometriosis. Tailored for primary care providers, emergency medicine providers, and general gynaecologists, this pillar builds foundational understanding and equips these first-contact clinicians with essential diagnostic and management tools. Additionally, primary and emergency physicians can participate in mini-fellowships to train with endometriosis care experts. Live virtual EndoECHO events will also be held nationally, offering expert diagnosis and surgical advice for endometriosis.
Goal: Building awareness of endometriosis and key clinical considerations for diagnosis and medical management. Increasing knowledge and understanding of endometriosis among primary care and emergency medicine providers to reduce delays in diagnosis and treatment.

This aspect of Pillar 1 is focused on building awareness of endometriosis symptoms and thorough patient history-taking.
This includes the development of ECEP social media accounts with content focused on awareness,clinical considerations, and digital resources to enhance clinical decisions.
Furthermore, this Pillar will produce a standardized diagnostic protocol for endometriosis, a digital diagnostic checklist, and an endometriosis-focused podcast.
Mentorship & Collaborative Learning
EndoEmerg: Mentoring experience for up to 20 emergency room providers across the country
EndoPCP: Mentoring experience for up to 40 primary care providers across the country.
“Ask the Endo Expert” ECHO: A live online platform designed to host up to100 providers monthly to answer questions and assist with local complex care.
