The 2024 Annual Conference of the Canadian Society for the Advancement of Gynecologic Excellence Scientific Program Committee (SPC) invites submissions of abstracts and videos for presentations that are of significant interest to advanced gynecologic surgical practice, education, and research.

Acceptance will be based upon peer review of submitted videos and research abstracts.

Presenters will have an opportunity to exchange ideas with delegates and to discuss their work in detail during moderated abstract sessions.

Presentation categories and formats: In addition to invited talks, the conference will feature three types of presentations:

Oral

  • Research presentation with traditional PowerPoint slides.

  • Time: maximum 7 minutes, with 3 minutes Q+A.

  • Abstracts not selected for oral poster presentation may be redirected for consideration as an ePoster with permission of the submitting author.

E-poster

  • “Rapid Fire” – 3 minute overview of your Research presentation in an electronic poster.

  • If selected but not able to present, can be featured on CanSAGE MultiLearning ePoster library.

 

Video

  • Video presentation hosted on the CanSAGE Video site, cansagevideos.com.

  • Time: maximum 7 minutes, with 3 minutes Q+A.

  • Top videos will be presented during the conference.

  • If selected but not able to present, can be featured on CanSAGE online Video library.

 

Presenting authors must register and attend the conference in person. 

Top 3 presentations from each category will be selected by scientific committee and conference attendees will vote for “people’s choice award” during the conference.

Presentations from all interested parties are welcome. These include:

– Physicians
– Allied healthcare professionals
– Scientists
– Clinical trainees, including fellows, residents, and medical students
– Research trainees, including undergraduates, graduate students, and post-docs

 

Preference will be given to submissions that: 
– Have high relevance to gynecologic surgical practice, education, or research
– Showcase surgical techniques or processes that can be adopted by other surgeons or institutions

– Surgical technique (Laparoscopy, Hysteroscopy, Vaginal surgery)
– Fibroids
– Endometriosis / Adenomyosis
– Pelvic Pain
– Fertility
– Abnormal uterine bleeding
– Urogynecology
– Gyne oncology
