CanSAGE Conference draws largest-ever attendance

More than 300 registrants and 25 faculty attended this year's conference.

We recently held our ninth annual CanSAGE Conference in Victoria, drawing our largest-ever conference attendance for a program of sessions, panel discussions, and presentations by leading figures in our field organized around the theme, Transforming Tomorrow: Improving Access to Advanced Gynecologic Care.

More than 300 registrants and 25 faculty attended the conference from Sept. 26 to 28 at the Victoria Conference Centre for a program of interactive workshops, keynote speeches, and plenary sessions aimed at highlighting the emerging trends, best practices, and innovative approaches shaping the future of gynecologic care.

The conference wouldn’t have been possible without the contributions of our volunteers, as well as our amazing sponsors. CanSAGE would like to extend a HUGE THANK YOU to the many volunteers who make the annual Conference and related educational activities so successful. We appreciate ALL of YOU!

“The conference kicked off with a keynote lecture from Dr. Erin Carey on improving MIGS access to underserved populations, and was followed by captivating plenaries on topics such as artificial intelligence in medicine, integration of learners of all levels, surgery with congenital anomalies, and the malignant transformation risks related to endometriosis,” said Dr. Michael Suen, CanSAGE Conference Director.

“We hosted a sold-out social night event at the Victoria Public Market; the highlight of the night was a group lesson from professional salsa dancers. We ended our conference with an enlightening plenary on managing burnout and improving wellness.”

Now, organizers are looking ahead to next year, when the CanSAGE Conference will be held Sept. 18-20, 2025 in Saskatoon.

“If you’re looking for a MIGS conference that is highly educational but friendly and intimate, come join us in beautiful Saskatoon,” Dr. Suen said.

“We hope to see you there!”
