Dear CanSAGE Members,
Happy New Year! I hope you all had a joyful and restful holiday season. As we embark on 2025, I am excited to share some of the incredible initiatives and updates happening within CanSAGE. Our collective efforts continue to drive the advancement of gynecologic excellence across Canada, and this year promises to be no exception.
Annual Clinical Meeting
We are thrilled to be preparing for the upcoming Annual Clinical Meeting, which will take place in Saskatoon. This is one of our flagship events, offering unparalleled opportunities for education, networking, and collaboration. I encourage all members to attend and stay informed by checking out the conference updates included in this newsletter.
We are delighted to welcome Meghan O’Leary as the new Conference Co-Director, joining Michael Suen and Conference Chair Darrien Rattray. Sarah Maheux-Lacroix continues to lead as Abstract Chair, while Jaclyn Madar brings her expertise as Video Chair. Together, this exceptional team, along with the rest of the planning committee, is ensuring another outstanding meeting.

We are pleased to welcome several new members to the CanSAGE Board and leadership roles:

Fellowship Updates
We are also pleased to announce the addition of two new fellowship programs: one at Manitoba and the other at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton. These expansions reflect our commitment to growing and strengthening training opportunities across the country.
I want to extend my gratitude to Sari Kives, our Vice President, and all the Fellowship Directors for their tireless efforts in standardizing our programs. We’re also excited to welcome our new part-time Fellowship Standardization Administrator, Catherine Ledoux, who will play a vital role in supporting these initiatives.
Strategic Planning
In 2024, CanSAGE engaged in a comprehensive strategic planning process to ensure the future success of the organization as we continue to grow. This effort involved the dedicated collaboration of our Executive and Board members, with vital support from Lisa Lipowski, our Executive Director, and an external strategist. Through this process, we reaffirmed our commitment to prioritizing initiatives that support our members and advance gynecologic care in Canada.
International Collaboration
This spring, the SEUD meeting will take place from April 24-26 in Prague, where a CanSAGE organized Canadian session will be chaired by Sarah Maheux-Lacroix. This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase Canadian expertise on the international stage. Check for details and discount codes on our website about for this event, as well as others hosted by our affiliated societies.
Thank you all for your continued dedication and engagement within CanSAGE. Your contributions and support are the driving force behind our success. Together, we will make 2025 another remarkable year for our society and the field of gynecologic excellence.
Warm regards,
Jamie Kroft
President, CanSAGE
