This year’s nominees will receive awards at the CanSAGE 2026 Annual Conference in Québec City:
- Award for Early Achievement in Advanced Gynecologic Surgery
- Award for Excellence in Gynecologic Care
- CanSAGE Lifetime Achievement Award for Gynecologic Excellence
Successful candidates will receive:
- Complimentary registration for the 2026 CanSAGE Conference in Québec City
- Complimentary CanSAGE membership for one year
- Recognition during the Closing Ceremonies at the 2026 CanSAGE Conference on October 3rd
Award Criteria
AWARD FOR EARLY ACHIEVEMENT
IN ADVANCED GYNECOLOGIC SURGERY
The CanSAGE Award for Early Achievement in Advanced Gynecologic Surgery recognizes a gynaecologist working in the surgical and/or medical management of benign gynecological conditions. The recipient should demonstrate promise in either leadership, education or research in the area of women’s health.
Applicants must be within the first five years of practice.
AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE IN
GYNECOLOGIC CARE
The CanSAGE Award for Excellence in Gynecologic Care recognizes an individual who has distinguished themselves in any of the following fields of expertise: allied health profession, basic science, health education, or clinical practice.
The recipient should exemplify outstanding contributions in clinical care, advocacy, leadership, education or research in the area of gynecologic health.
Cansage Lifetime Achievement Award
for Gynecologic Excellence
The CanSAGE Lifetime Achievement Award for Gynecologic Excellence recognizes a gynaecologist currently working or recently retired from practice in the surgical and/or medical management of benign gynecological conditions.
Applicants need to have made a significant contribution to their field of expertise on a national level through leadership positions, research, advocacy or education.
Nomination Requirements
- Completion of online nomination form
- Letter in support of the Candidate (700 word limit)
- Two (2) additional letters of support (300 word limit)
- A current CV of the nominee
- Only CanSAGE members in good standing may nominate another member
- Nominee must be a CanSAGE member in good standing
Please note: Supporting documents may be submitted in French.
Award(s) will only be presented if nominations are received and meet all listed criteria.
Nomination Process
Complete the online nomination form. Make sure to include all required documents before submission.
The deadline to submit your nomination is Saturday, May 30, 2026 – 5pm ET
Nominations will be submitted to the CanSAGE Awards Committee for consideration.
The selected award recipients will be contacted prior to the CanSAGE 2026 Annual Conference and invited to attend.
The recipients will be given their awards in person at the CanSAGE 2026 Annual Conference and will receive free conference registration and CanSAGE membership for one year.
CanSAGE will contact the recipients at a later date to request a headshot photo to be added on the CanSAGE website.
